We are thrilled to announce that Wellington (Telford) Brass Band<\/strong> will be attending the highly anticipated Wychavon Festival of Brass<\/strong> this year! Members have been hard at work preparing a programme to entertain the crowd and show our unique style in this celebration of brass music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wychavon Festival of Brass is a vibrant annual brass band competition and entertainment event held in the historic market town of Evesham, Worcestershire. Each year, bands from across the UK come together to share their musical talents in front of enthusiastic audiences, performing in a day-long contest that blends entertainment with exceptional musicianship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udcdc A Short History of the Festival<\/strong>
The Wychavon Festival of Brass began in the late 1980s as an initiative by the Vale of Evesham Commerce and Tourism Association to raise the profile of the town and bring outstanding brass music to local audiences. Originally held in Evesham\u2019s Market Square and nearby All Saints Church, the event grew quickly, moving between towns such as Pershore and Droitwich before returning to Evesham permanently in 2013. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the festival remains one of the UK\u2019s most enjoyable brass band entertainment contests, featuring bands across Championship, First, Second, Third and Fourth sections, with over 70 performances throughout the day. It\u2019s not just a competition \u2014 it\u2019s a celebration of brass music, community spirit and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
