What a fantastic day for Wellington (Telford) Brass Band!
We are absolutely delighted to have secured 3rd place in the Second Section at the Wychavon Festival of Brass on Saturday 31st October!
With the competition falling on Halloween, we decided to do things a little differently this year, swapping spooky surprises for a touch of Christmas magic!
Our festive entertainment programme even featured a special appearance from Father Christmas himself, who clearly decided to deliver Wellington’s Christmas present a little early this year – a brilliant third-place finish!
A special well done must go to our very own Archie, who stepped into the spotlight as Frosty the Snowman, delivering a fantastic solo performance. Well done, Archie!
It was wonderful to return to Wychavon after several years away, and coming home with third place makes it all the more special.
A huge thank you to our Musical Director, David Nicholson, for all his hard work and preparation, and to every member of the band who helped bring our rather unusual Christmas performance to life.
What a way to kick off the festive season! 🎅🎶
Now, with Wychavon behind us, it’s full steam ahead for our busy Christmas calendar. Head over to our Events page to see where you can catch us next!
Well done, Wellington – Christmas has definitely come early! 🎄🏆
