“25 years of making excellent music“
Wellington (Telford) Brass Band was officially formed in October 2000, the Band had previously been known as ‘Dawley Band’ and ‘Telford Band’.
Wellington (Telford) Brass Band is an active band who performs regularly throughout the local community in formal parades, garden fetes as well as performing carols over the Christmas Period.
Wellington (Telford) Brass Band are supported with sponsorship from Wellington Town Council. The Band supports the Council with engagements including Civic services, community fun days and Remembrance services.
Wellington (Telford) Brass Band are competing band and in 2025 were promoted to the 2nd Section. The Band compete annually in the Midlands Regional Championships.
Wellington (Telford) Brass Band’s most recent success came in March 2024 where the band placed 2nd overall in the 3rd section competition.
The Band qualified for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain which took place at Cheltenham in 2024.
Wellington (Telford) Brass Band proudly competed at the Regionals in March 2025, achieving a great result that led to their promotion to the 2nd Section.
