Brass and Voice Concert

In October, Wellington Rotary is holding a fundraising event featuring two local groups of musicians. A concert at All Saint’s Church in Wellington on Friday 18 October at 7.15pm will provide an evening of musical entertainment from the Wellington Brass Band and The Gallery Singers. The concert is raising funds to support the Ukrainian Cultural & Learning Centre in Wellington, and Rotary Charities. The Centre provides additional learning for Ukrainians in the local area, many of who are staying under the Homes for Ukraine scheme having moved here following the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. It provides learning for children covering the Ukrainian language and the culture of Ukraine. Understandably these topics are not covered in the children’s education at local schools.
