Wellington (Telford) Brass Band is delighted to announce the appointment of David Nicholson as our new Musical Director.
David brings a wealth of brass band expertise to the role, with extensive performance experience as a Euphonium player with the internationally renowned International Staff Band, as well as conducting across all contesting sections. His knowledge, passion, and leadership mark an exciting milestone in the band’s journey and future development.
Our first engagement under David’s direction will be the Annual Christmas Concert, held on 12th December at the Dawley Branch of the Royal British Legion (Tickets can be purchased on the events page). This festive occasion will be the perfect opportunity for audiences to experience David at the helm and to enjoy the band’s music as we begin this new chapter together.
The band looks forward to working with David and is excited about the opportunities his appointment will bring. With his guidance, we are confident that Wellington (Telford) Brass Band will continue to grow musically and reach new heights.
