With our recent engagements behind us, we can now start looking forward to our next contest — the Wychavon Festival of Brass on Saturday 31 October 2026.
Wellington (Telford) Brass Band will be competing in the Second Section, where we have been drawn 11th out of 14 bands. Our expected performance time is between approximately 4.30pm and 5.00pm.
The festival takes place at TDMS (The De Montfort School), Four Pools Road, Evesham, Worcestershire, WR11 1DQ.
Wychavon is always a little different from a traditional brass band contest, with bands given the opportunity to put together an entertaining programme as well as demonstrate their musical ability.
And, of course, this year’s contest happens to fall on Halloween…
We’re not giving anything away just yet, but preparations are underway and we’re looking forward to putting together something a little different for our performance.
There may even be the tiniest hint of another season just around the corner…
